8/27/20 – Zack Crawley from Santa Monica’s The Proper Hotel stopped by the Revel R&D bar and shook up this refreshing summery libation. Packed full of seasonal flavors like mint, strawberry and lemon, this drink is complimented by the subtle citrus and bitter gentian notes from the Suze Aperitif. It’s definitely one of those crushable, pool-side cocktails you just can’t put down.

3/11/20- A year ago, we poured a case of Revel blanco in this 5L American oak barrel and started ageing our own Reposado right here in our LA offices. We popped it open for happy hour last Friday and the results were delicious – slightly softer than the real Repo, with a touch more oak on the finish. Naturally, we couldn’t help messing around with it and came up with this drink. If you’d like to age some Avila yourself, you can order your own 5L or 10L Revel barrel. Email info@revelspirits.com for details.

10/9/19-The ideal fall cocktail for when you’re home for the holidays, this drink is like a boozy pumpkin pie in a glass. The sweetened condensed milk adds a decadent richness to the drink, making it the perfect fireplace companion

This delicious mix of spicy and cool is the perfect day time jam – a chili infused agave is balanced by the cooling fruit, with some herbal notes from the cilantro. A bit of funk on the finish thanks to the fino sherry makes this drink beautifully complex and unique.

11/30/18 – We recently got our hands on some St George Spiced Pear Liqueur and it’s absolutely stunning. You get a hint of every flavor in it – ripe Barlett pear, cinnamon and clove. It makes the perfect fall cocktail, and although we are admittedly a little late to the Fall party, this libation can be enjoyed any time of year.

We added a bit of spice here with some habanero chili pepper-infused maple syrup: roughly chop the peppers and warm on the stove with maple syrup to infuse. (“Hot” tip- for those in the US, Trader Joe’s make a ghost pepper-infused maple syrup that works really well, but it’s on the spicier side, so mix with regular syrup as needed).
This drink will warm the soul through those cold Fall months!
